YOU AIN'T NO JOHNNY CASH is the story of Cody Luther, an aging country singer who cut short his career in the 1980's and left for Mexico after his wife cheated on him with Willie Nelson. Luther moves back to his home-town of Lubbock, Texas, where he reconnects with his ex-wife, Diana May, eventually rekindling the romance they once had. After a brawl over a jukebox song, Cody is forced to attend court-appointed therapy sessions. Does he actually suffer from clinical depression or ishe just a lonely old country singer?
